Chelsea and Man Utd on red alert with €200m signing up for grabs

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly among the clubs to have been offered the transfer of Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski this summer by his agent.

According to German news outlet Bild, the Poland international is being offered to the Premier League duo and to Real Madrid by Pini Zahavi as he looks to force a big move for his client.

They also claim Bayern are demanding as much as €200 million to let him go, but there has been no movement as of yet from either United or Chelsea.

It’s rare to see a striker of his talent available for sale, but reports suggest United manager Jose Mourinho is looking for a physical backup option to Romelu Lukaku, not a striker that will take his place.

Chelsea, on the other hand, need a new signing up front after a thoroughly disappointing season from Alvaro Morata last season.

Lewandowski would also earn a starting spot at Real Madrid too, taking over from French striker Karim Benzema.

For Bayern, Lewandowski has scored 151 goals in 195 games, although at 29 years of age many clubs will see £175 million as pushing it.

It’s hard to see United pay that sort of money with Lukaku already on our books and doing a good job leading the line, up front!
