Ronaldo or Messi? Marcus Rashford answers football’s toughest question

Marcus Rashford grew up watching Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi compete on the world stage. The former has even sent special gifts to the Manchester United youngster as seen on Instagram.

Yet when it comes down to footballing ability, Rashford admitted he prefers Messi when asked the most common football question put forward by this generation.

Rashford has had a personalised signed Real Madrid shirt sent to him from Ronaldo, along with pairs of trainers and clearly has some sort of relationship with the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking to CNN, Rashford was asked who he thinks is the best footballer in the world.

“I’d have to say Messi, some of the stuff that he does is unbelievable.

“I’m a big fan of Ronaldo as well – but I think Messi is the greatest ever.”

It remains to be seen whether Rashford will continue to receive freebies from Ronaldo after that response, but we’ll gladly take them instead if the United legend prefers.

Ronaldo’s future is still up in the air after, as per Football 365, claiming he will decide on his future this summer, shortly after winning the Champions League against Liverpool in Kiev.
