Man Utd willing to break transfer fee record with £122m signing

Manchester United are set to make a colossal £122 million offer to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

That’s according to Spanish media outlet AS, who also adds that the Reds are preparing to offer the Wales international over £26 million-a-year in wages – almost tripling his current salary at Real Madrid.

If that’s not enough to turn Bale’s head, I don’t know what is…

Bale stole the show in Kiev when Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions League final last week. The Welsh star scored a match-winning brace from the bench before speaking out about his dislike for being a substitute in big games, and will, therefore, look at his options this summer.

That should be enough to tell you Bale hasn’t been a regular start for Madrid this term. The apparent offer, which, AS claim is on the table, must be tempting for Bale and his agent.

I’m not of the view this is a transfer that can completely fix United’s issues, but it’s a step in the right direction. Bale believes he is one of the top 5 best players in the world and he’s one of few players that can make big differences in big games.

Bring him in, I say. We’d be stupid not to spend what’s in the transfer kitty.
