Ever since those comments were made, we’ve been mega busy covering Bale to United reports with a return to the Premier League very much on. On Monday, Sky Sports ruled out a return to Tottenham for Bale, firmly placing United as front-runners for Bale’s signature.

Marca have gone as far to claim Jose Mourinho’s side are looking to sign Bale this summer, but the Reds have been linked with the attacker well before he moved to Madrid in 2013. Their report has been translated by our friends over at Sport Witness.

United need more firepower in attack and another avenue of goal scoring besides Romelu Lukaku. If Bale can pull off moments of brilliance like he did against the Scousers, he’s more than welcome to join United this summer as far as I’m concerned.

The Madrid-based newspaper also claims that signing for United is Bale’s ‘destiny,’ so if that’s the case, let’s make it happen.
