Man Utd monitor 22-year-old Championship star with Premier League experience

According to the Birmingham Mail, Manchester United are tracking Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

The 22-year-old is Villa’s prized asset and may be sold this summer following the failure to win promotion to the Premier League.

Steve Bruce’s side were beaten by a 10-man Fulham side in the play-off final at Wembley on Saturday.

The Sun have also got involved with the story to suggest United like Grealish and see him as an ideal player for the future.

With the Reds poised to sign Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, Grealish is also under consideration.

Grealish dropped to his knees on the final whistle on Saturday, appearing genuinely broken with dreams of returning to the Premier League next season shattered.

The Villa attacked was kicked off the pitch by Fulham’s players too, so he’s also nursing a number of bumps and bruises to add to the pain.

Promotion to the Premier League would have topped off a fine 2018 for Bruce, Villa, and, of course, Grealish.

I’ve spoken to Villa fans, who found it hard to admit Grealish is too good for the second tier. United would be a major jump for the lad.
