European giants enter race to sign Paul Pogba

According to reports in Italy, Serie A champions Juventus are keen on bringing Paul Pogba back to the club this summer.

Pogba re-joined Manchester United in the summer of 2016, after making the controversial move to Juventus as a free agent in 2012.

Pogba’s €105 million fee was the highest of all-time upon the deal’s completion, and many still question the decision United made to splash the cash on the Frenchman’s signature.

After a hit-and-miss debut season back in Manchester, Pogba started the 2017/18 campaign much better, finally looking as though he was set to flourish. Then a rift with manager Jose Mourinho development and Pogba’s season went from bad to worse, ending in a mediocre fashion.

An injury in September didn’t help but we can’t keep making excuses for Pogba. If he’s still at the club next season, he needs a big season.

Italian outlet Tuttosport has suggested that Max Allegri wants to bring either Pogba or Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Juventus this summer.

Of course, they’d take him back but I’m still hoping Mourinho bites the bullet and starts getting the best out of Pogba. Let’s see how he performs at the World Cup this summer…
