The agent of Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj has this evening ruled out a potential move to Manchester United for his client.

Hysaj, 24, is a renowned right-back who can also play on the left, has been with Napoli since 2015.

The Albania international has been linked with Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United, as per 101 Great Goals, with claims emerging from Italy this year that he was set for a summer move to a European heavyweight.

However, the defender’s agent has shut down any and all rumours surrounding his Hysaj’s future.

Speaking in an interview with Radio CRC, Mario Giuffredi said: “He’s a Napoli player and he’ll remain in Naples.

“We’ve also started talking about a new contract. He’s very young and from next year he’d only have two years on his contract.

“Talks have already begun with Napoli, then if they want to send him away… I don’t think that will happen though.”

Well, that makes a difference to other agents who would see this as an opportunity to make an extra buck. Not all, of course, but Mr. Giuffredi sounds set on looking after his client’s best interests for now.

Some footballers are guilty of making the big move too soon, but not Hysaj if we’re to take his agent’s word on a potential new deal with the Serie A outfit.

Still, this is a name worth keeping an eye out for to see how he develops next season and beyond.
