Antoine Griezmann’s two-goals salvo fired Atletico Madrid to Europa League glory against Marseille in Lyon on Wednesday night.

When Andre-Frank Zambo Aguissa mistakenly gave the ball away to Gabi from Steve Mandanda’s pass and Griezmann was slipped through on goal in the first-half, there was never any doubt of the outcome.

His second was similarly clinical, controlling Koke’s through ball to hold off the defender and dink delightfully to double his tally.

To say Griezmann was the difference on the night would be an understatement. The Frenchman oozes class.

With 32 goals for club and country this season, Griezmann is destined to make Didier Deschamps’ France World Cup squad.

However, his future has been subject of speculation with links to La Liga giants Barcelona. They’re favourites to clinch Griezmann’s signature this summer but Manchester United, albeit with big odds, are considered close runners.
