Liverpool to rival Manchester United for £53m target

It’s hard to keep up with Manchester United during a transfer window. We get linked with every name under the sun and it’s often a case of agents planting stories to raise the popularity of their client.

Jose Mourinho is going to look to bring in fresh faces this summer, and hopefully with emphasis on defenders and midfielders. That is where United need to strengthen most after a full season of playing wingers as makeshift full-backs and a midfield lacking in depth.

But United have also been linked with moves for attacking players. Back in January, The Independent linked United with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Christian Pulisic. The American wonderkid has allegedly picked up interest from an array of European clubs since then.

Pulisic, 19, is renowned for his dribbling ability and cutting in from wide positions. He has scored four goals and setup five for teammates in his 30 Bundesliga appearances (25 starts) so far this season.

Should we make a move for the American international then it is expected that we would face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool as the Mirror report that Jurgen Klopp wants to come in with a third offer for Pulisic.

The Dortmund link may work in Klopp’s favour or the fact that he’s got Liverpool to a Champions League Final this season. That said, what good is getting to a final unless you win it outright?

The Express reported that the Scousers were preparing an offer of £53 million for the wide player.

Let us know in the comment section if you think Pulisic would be a good addition for Mourinho’s United side?
