Nani left Manchester United for Fenerbahce earlier this week after what was an eight-year spell at the club in which he had a successful period as a footballer.

In attempt to thank all of those that helped and cheered him on throughout his spell at Old Trafford, Nani shared the following farewell message on social network Instagram.

Deixo Manchester com muítos títulos e muitas recordações, quero agradecer a todas as pessoas que me ajudaram nesta caminhada e desejar-vos toda a sorte e sucesso! Though he won four Premier League titles, and other trophies including the Champions League, there is the feeling that Nani never fully reached his potential and Louis van Gaal was not convinced after sending the Portuguese winger on loan to Sporting Lisbon last year.

However, Fenerbahce have still managed to get themselves a bargain at £4.25 million.

On his day Nani can be electric going forward with an eye for goal at distance. His lack of effort defensively has always been a concern but there are times he makes up for it.

StrettyNews.com wishes Nani nothing but the best in Turkey. Just don’t try it on when/if United meet Fenerbahce in Europe.
