Nani arrives in Turkey ahead of Fenerbahce switch

It was announced last week that Manchester United agreed a deal with Fenerbahce to sell Nani for £4.25m.

Unfortunately for Nani it never quite worked out for him at United and the club will see this move as a relief no longer having to pay his ridiculous wage package of £100,000 per week.

Sporting Lisbon were unable to pay anywhere near that money to keep Nani on a permanent basis, therefore, he now finds himself set to join the Turkish league. How exciting.

However, there were glimpses of excellence down the years but the Portuguese winger never managed to do it consistently. And at this level, if you have no level of consistency whatsoever, you’re simply not going to last.

Nani made over 200 appearances for Manchester United since joining from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 for a fee worth £17 million.

Goodbye and goodluck!

Update: Confirmation from the official Fenerbahce website.
