Januzaj stamper handed three match ban

Fulham’s Sascha Riether has been given a three match ban following his blatant stamp on Adnan Januzaj towards the end of last weekend’s clash at Craven Cottage.

The FA gave Riether 48 hours to appeal the charge of violent conduct but he apologised to Januzaj through Twitter instead. The referee, Lee Probert, claims to have not seen the incident during the game.

The following was released by the FA in statement format.

“Following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, Fulham’s Sascha Riether has been suspended for three matches with immediate effect after he accepted an FA charge for violent conduct.

“Riether was charged by The FA following an incident which occurred in added time of Fulham’s game against Manchester United on Saturday 2 November 2013.

“The incident, which involved United’s Adnan Januzaj, was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.”

  1. This fela is retarded in reason! For his age, he must be embarrassed of himself for seeking to take-out a young lad as Adnan.
