Fabregas a massive United fan?

Back in 2009 when Cesc Fabregas was captain at Arsenal, he admitted to being a huge admirer of Manchester United in preparation of a Champions League semi-final.

Earlier today United tabled a bid for the Barcelona midfielder, who we believe is settled in Catalonia following the birth of his first child. However that may change if the Spanish giants accept our offer in agreement to sell.

Speaking to the News of the World back in 2009, Fabregas revealed the amount of respect he has for Manchester United.

“I’m a massive Man United fan,” he explained.

“I have no problem saying United are one of the best clubs in the world – even though I want to beat them.

“They are the best side in the world at the moment – a top, top side and we respect them a lot.”

Times have changed and we’re no longer the best side in the world. When Fabregas made that comment United were European champions which is no longer the case, but I’m sure his respect remains.

  1. Yep with a no result at the end.. Still I’ll not miss Thiago, he didn’t want to play for united and has had his leg pulled by Pep, Javi Martinez is about the best defensive midfielder on the planet. I’m sure he’ll be happy to move into defense to fit a guy in who couldn’t get in the team they smashed 7-0.. The FC Hollywood fans will love that.. Aren;t you listenign David?? Cesc loves Barca the whole kit and kabooddle. United’s midfield next season Carrick, Cleverley, and Anderson and to finish behind Everton who have already got a tasty new player now he’s left…Why oh why are we getting beat by a south pacific island 11?? sort of..
