Happy Birthday Duncan Edwards

Today, Duncan Edwards would have marked his 75th Birthday. He was described as “the biggest single tragedy ever to happen to Manchester United and English football” by Sir Bobby Charlton.

Edwards made his First Division debut in April 1953, aged 16, and went on to make 151 appearances for the club scoring 20 goals, in the space of 5 years. His tragic death in the Munich air disaster in February 1958, sadly finished his career. He was only 21-years-old.
