Recent studies by Forbes magazine reveal Manchester United to be the world’s richest club, valued at roughly £1.13 billion. It is the seventh year running United have topped this list due to their huge worldwide fan-base and massive television ratings.
United’s nearest rivals on the list are Spanish giants and recently Copa del Rey winners, Real Madrid who are worth approximately£900 million. The rest of the top ten compromised of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, AC Milan, Chelsea, Juventus, Liverpool and Inter Milan respectively. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool were the only other English representatives and other Countries represented include Spain, Germany and Italy.
