Owen To Play For Liverpool XI

Written on Thursday, August 26, 2010 by   in Other Football

Manchester United striker Michael Owen has now agreed to play for his former club Liverpool in Jamie Carragher’s testimonial match against Everton’s XI. Ferguson is has allowed Owen to play 45 minutes of the match.

Some Manchester United fans may not understand this but if you think about it Owen is apparently a close mate of Carragher’s. Owen told us last year that he still has mates at Liverpool so of coarse when he was asked he wouldn’t of said no. This shows what type of person Michael Owen is, he is loyal and a very good sports man, a true professional if you ask me!

It will be interesting to see how the Anfield crowd receives Owen after he served eight years at the club scoring over 100 goals.
